NRLW Round 1 Team News: History Beckons for Bulldogs

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are thrilled to announce the Club's inaugural NRLW team to take on the Newcastle Knights in the side's very first match. 

The Bulldogs' very-first NRLW team will take the field on home soil at Accor Stadium at 5:40pm this Friday night, before the NRL side face the Brisbane Broncos at 8:00pm in their Round 18 clash - capping off one of the most significant nights in the Club's proud 90-year history.

Head Coach Brayden Wiliame has named a strong line up to face the Knights, headlined by Co-Captains Tayla Preston and Angelina Teakaraanga-Katoa

Andie Robinson lines up at fullback, joined by flying wingers Bridget Hoy and Adi Vani Buleki, youngster Simina Lokotui and classy centre Moana Courtenay. 

Ashleigh Quinlan and Preston will join forces once again, with the experienced halves pairing tasked with steering the side around alongside crafty no.9 Ebony Prior. 

Teakaraanga-Katoa spearheads a powerhouse forward pack alongside fellow Test stars Tegan Dymock (Tonga), Alexis Tauaneai (New Zealand), Latisha Smythe (Fiji) and Holli Wheeler (Australia). 

Childhood Dreams Become Reality

Niece and aunty pairing Shaquaylah Mahakitau-Monschau and Shaniece Monschau have been named on the interchange bench alongside Tongan representative duo Shannon Muru and Kalosipani Hopoate. 

Hope Millard, Elizabeth MacGregor, Anneka Wilson, Paea Uilou and Pauline Suli-Ruka round off an exciting line up.
