Bulldogs Kick-Off 2025 in Style with 90-Year Anniversary Gala Night

It was a night of glitz and glamour as the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs hosted the Club’s 90-Year Anniversary Gala Night on Tuesday, February 11.

A host of guests attended the event at Sydney Town Hall, which doubled as the 2025 season launch, including a rich mix of Bulldogs legends, Members and supporters, as well as media personalities.

The Bulldogs’ inaugural NRLW squad - who are set to take the field on July 4 - was officially unveiled, alongside their NRL contemporaries.

Three new members were inducted into the Bulldogs Hall of Fame, while the 2025 Commemorative jersey was revealed.

A performance by The Sapphires kicked off the evening before MC Andrew Voss began the formalities, which included Q&As with Club greats Dr. George Peponis, Peter Mortimer and Graeme Hughes.

The 2025 Commemorative Jersey was officially revealed, resembling the same Blue and White butcher stripes that the side wore in their inaugural match on April 25, 1935.

The Club’s journey from 1935 to 2025 was also celebrated as suspense continued to build ahead of the Hall of Fame inductee announcement.

To finish off the evening, five-time Premiership winner Steve Folkes, star of the 1960s and 1970s Johnny Greaves, and fan-favourite record-breaker Hazem El Masri were unveiled as the newest inductees to the Bulldogs’ Hall of Fame.

El Masri was presented a Hall of Fame jacket on stage, while family members spoke candidly on behalf of Greaves and Folkes.

It was an unforgettable night for all involved that celebrated the past, present and future of the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs ahead of one of the most highly anticipated years in the Club’s proud history.
