The Bulldogs Hall of Fame has welcomed three more members, with legendary figures John Greaves, Steve Folkes and Hazem El Masri inducted as part of the Club’s celebrations during the 90-Year Anniversary Gala Night.
El Masri was present on the night to receive his Hall of Fame blazer, while family representatives were on hand to accept the honour on behalf of both Greaves and Folkes.

Greaves, Bulldog no.303, was a star of the 1960s and 1970s who played 112 first-grade games for the Club, featuring in 7 matches for New South Wales and 12 Tests for Australia.
Alongside fellow Hall of Famer Les Johns, the strike centre helped guide Canterbury to the Club’s first Grand Final appearance in two decades in 1967.
A former Captain of the Club, Greaves was named in the 50 Year Anniversary team in 1985, the Berries to Bulldogs 70 Year Team of Champions in 2004, and was inducted into the Bulldogs Ring of Champions in 2007.
Folkes, Bulldog no.432 was a beloved clubman and figure at the Club and holds a distinguished place in the Club’s esteemed history.
A local junior, Folkes was a key figure in the successful sides of the 1980s, winning four Premierships (1980, 1984, 1985 and 1988) across his 245 first-grade games.

A Test and state representative, Folkes became the first player to reach 300 games for the Club across all grades and captained the side on 16 occasions.
In 2004 he became just the second person, after brother-in-law Chris Anderson, to win Premierships as both a player and Head Coach. He is also currently the longest-serving Head Coach in Club history, with 288 games at the helm.
Folkes is also a Life Member of the Football Club, and alongside Greaves, was named in the Berries to Bulldogs 70 Year Team of Champions in 2004 and was inducted into the Bulldogs Ring of Champions in 2007.
El Masri, Bulldog no.605, holds the distinction of being the Club’s highest point scorer (2418), highest tryscorer (159) and most-capped first-grade player (317).

A point-scoring extraordinaire, El Masri became just the fourth player in history to reach the 2000-point mark and is the only Bulldog to feature in 300 first-grade games for the Club.
He also became the first player to score more than 300-points in a season, doing so in 2004, and was a try-scorer in the Grand Final of that season, helping the Bulldogs to the Club’s 8th Premiership.
Other notable records of his include the most first-grade points in a game for the Club (34) and most consecutive first-grade goals (35).
His representative accolades include one Test for Australia, nine Tests for Lebanon, one State of Origin match for New South Wales and six matches for New South Wales City and is a Life Member of the Football Club.
The Club would like to acknowledge John Greaves, Steve Folkes and Hazem El Masri for their outstanding contributions to the Club.
