NSW Cup and Jersey Flegg schedules confirmed for 2021

The New South Wales Rugby League today launched their 2021 season at the NSWRL Centre of Excellence at Sydney Olympic Park.

With the NSW Cup, Jersey Flegg Cup, Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Premiership, Ron Massey Cup and Sydney Shield competitions set to start next weekend, the NSWRL announced a new naming rights sponsor for the State’s premier competition, The Knock-On Effect NSW Cup.

To coincide with their launch, NSWRL also announced the draws for both the NSW Cup and the Jersey Flegg competitions in which the Bulldogs will have a significant involvement.

The club has partnered with Mounties in 2021 as it’s feeder team for the NSW Cup and this year with the restructure to the age groups for the junior rep programs, the Jersey Flegg competition is now under 21s.

The opening round of the NSW Cup competition will see Mounties head up the F3 to play the Newcastle Knights on Friday March 12 as the curtain raiser to the NRL fixture between the Knights and Bulldogs, before once again featuring as the NRL curtain raiser in round two at Bankwest Stadium when Canterbury host the Penrith Panthers.

The NSW Cup competition is a 24 round regular season with a four-week finals series and a Grand Final on Sunday September 26.

Over the course of the year Mounties will have four byes in rounds 10, 13, 19 and 24.
