The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are thrilled to announce Jacob Preston will remain a Bulldog until at least the end of 2031 after agreeing to a four-year extension.
Preston has become a fan favourite since bursting onto the scene in 2023 in what was a rookie season to remember after being awarded the prestigious Dr. George Peponis Medal, while also taking out the Rookie of the Year and Members' Player of the Year awards as well.
He has played 78 NRL games - all with the Bulldogs - establishing himself as a world class second-rower over the last four seasons.
The 24-year-old has also had a taste of the representative arena, having spent time in the extended NSW Blues and Australian Kangaroos squads.
Preston shared his excitement around extending his time as a Bulldog.
“I’m so happy to have locked in my long-term future at the Club,” Preston said.
The Bulldogs are home to me and I’ve built lifelong friendships here.
“I know the Club is building something special and I’m stoked that I get to continue being a part of that journey.”
Bulldogs General Manager of Football Phil Gould AM was thrilled to share the news.
"Jacob is a special player and an upstanding young man, who typifies what it means to be a Bulldog,” Gould said.
“He’s the type of person we can build the Club around and we couldn't be happier to lock him in until at least the end of 2031."
