5 ‘Key Stats’ from Round Two v Roosters

While the Bulldogs were beaten 30-12 against the Roosters at Allianz Stadium, there were some promising statistics from the game. Moses Mbye continued his sound start in the fullback position, racking up some excellent yardage gains, while David Klemmer proved a handful for the Roosters, with 56 post-contact metres and an outstanding tackle efficiency.

The Bulldogs were forced to try to boot their way out of trouble, resulting in 242 more kick metres than the Roosters. This came about as a result of a very strong performance from the Roosters’ back five, who made nearly 300 metres more than the Bulldogs’ back five.

Meanwhile, the referees made their presence felt in the match, blowing 12 penalties in the first half and 18 for the game which were shared evenly between the teams.
