The Roosters have defeated the Bulldogs 30-12 in an eventful round two contest at Allianz Stadium on Friday night.

At the 11th minute, the Roosters opened the scoring with a try to Luke Keary, who James Tedesco found in support after making a break, with Latrell Mitchell knocking back a high kick from Kieran Foran down the other end of the field.

Just five minutes later, the Roosters extended their advantage through Blake Ferguson who scored in the corner, but the home side lost Isaac Liu to the sin bin at the 20th minute for a professional foul.

The Bulldogs got close at the 24th minute, with a Marcelo Montoya try disallowed by the video referee due to obstruction, and with Roosters fullback Tedesco finding the line at the 37th minute Canterbury trailed 18-0 at the break.

At the 48th minute, Matt Frawley made a bust up the middle the field and found Josh Morris in support who scored for the Bulldogs, reducing the deficit to 12, before Tedesco found Cooper Cronk at the 54th minute to give the Roosters a 24-6 lead.

A Josh Jackson try at the 61st minute was a consolation for the Bulldogs, with a Ryan Matterson try at the 75th minute icing the game for the Roosters.
