East Hills Get the Latest Wattyl Treatment

The partnership between the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs and proud partner Wattyl Paint has continued to go from strength to strength following the restoration of the East Hills Bulldogs clubhouse. 

East Hills' clubhouse was given a much-needed fresh coat of paint thanks to the team at Wattyl and Final Touch, alongside Bulldogs duo Josh Curran and Sean O'Sullivan who took time out of their busy training schedules to assist in the redesign.

With the paint and supplies generously provided by Wattyl, the group rolled up their sleeves and got to work on not just the restoration of the clubhouse, but the restoration of East Hills' community spirit. 

It marked the second year of Wattyl's restoration projects, having brought a new colour of paint to Chester Hill's clubhouse just twelve months prior. 

Established in 1951, the East Hills Bulldogs are the oldest junior league club in the Canterbury-Bankstown District, and will now celebrate their 75th anniversary in style. 

Scott Kelly, East Hills Bulldogs Club President expressed his gratitude for the restoration, highlighting the positive impact for the club and community. 

"On behalf of the East Hills Bulldogs, we’d like to thank Wattyl and the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs for giving us access to this program and renovating our club house for us," he said. 

This renovation will be well received by all our community members, players, volunteers, coaches and supporters. 

"It’s given a fresh touch with our colours to make it our home, somewhere they’ll feel proud of being there."

"Following the success of last year's restoration, we are incredibly proud of what we have been able to achieve at East Hills today," said Wattyl Marketing Director, ANZ, Devina Glenzendorf.

"After months of planning and preparation, we're very pleased to see the clubhouse transformed into an environment for the East Hills community to thrive in.

"Community is an important aspect to everyone here at Wattyl, and to be able to bring a project like this to life alongside the Bulldogs is very rewarding."

Olivia O'Brien, Wattyl Paint Regional Brand Marketing Manager, ANZ explained the process of getting East Hills' famous blue colours adorned throughout the club walls. 

“It was important to the community to get the colours of the club correct, so we did some colour matching," Olivia explained.

“We used one of their jerseys, took it into our store to get the colours right with their light blue and darker blue just to bring that logo to life in the clubhouse environment. 

“It’s the way that we can give back through paint, which really transforms a space to something that is something a bit magical for the team coming in.”
