Pathways Wrap Round 17: Cup Weave Magic in Tamworth

The NSW Cup side claimed their biggest win of the season with a demolition of Manly at Magic Round in Tamworth, while the Jersey Flegg Cup side also claimed a win over their northern beaches rivals.

The NSW Women's Premiership side continue to strive for their first win of the season, while the Ron Massey Cup side went down on Sunday afternoon.

NSW Cup: Bulldogs 64 def Sea Eagles 10

The Bulldogs NSW Cup side closed out the 2026 NSWRL Regional Magic Round with a dominant win, defeating the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles 64-10 at Scully Park in Tamworth.

The Bulldogs found themselves deep in attacking territory in the early minutes as Sean O’Sullivan flung a long ball to winger Jonathan Sua who scored untouched on the left-hand side.

A well-worked play saw the side break through once more when skipper and Tamworth local Logan Spinks ran a hard line before flicking an offload inside for halfback Alex Conti to score.

The Bulldogs found their rhythm with O'Sullivan sending Jed Reardon over to score next, before putting Spinks and Cochrane over. They weren’t done yet with just under two minutes until half-time when Conti linked up with Patrick Young, who handed the ball back for the halfback's second and a 34-nil lead at the break.

It was more of the same Bulldogs dominance in the second half with both Sua and Conti completing hat-tricks and centre Sosaia Alatini crossing the stripe with a quarter of the match still remaining.

Manly hit back with two consolation tries but it was Jack Todd, the other half of their Tamworth duo, who had the last say with a four-pointer. Spinks nailed the last conversion to round off a huge win.

NSW Women's Premiership: Bulldogs 12 def by Eels 26

It was another tough defeat for the NSW Women's Premiership side, who were defeated 26-12 against the Parramatta Eels at the James Hardie Centre of Excellence in Kellyville.

The hosts got out to a fast start with two tries in the opening eleven minutes, but the Bulldogs bit back through Evelyn Roberts moments later. While the Eels crossed for a third try, it was a single score that separated the sides at the break.

Unfortunately, the second half saw Parramatta run out to a 26-6 lead with a further three tries, while the Blue and Whites had the final say of the match with a late try to Charlotte Eather.

Jersey Flegg Cup: Bulldogs 28 def Sea Eagles 18

The Jersey Flegg Cup Bulldogs remain in the top four following a stunning 28-18 comeback against the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles at 4 Pines Park.

Latrell Fing got the ball rolling for the Bulldogs, however the hosts took the lead at the break 12-4 after two quickfire tries.

However, the Blue and Whites rolled up their sleeves in the second stanza, with Bronson Reuben scoring a double to give the side the lead.

Aaymon Fitzgibbon added his name to the scoresheet, and while Manly looked to mount a late comeback with a late try, Raymond Puru sealed the deal in the 79th minute.

Ron Massey Cup: Bulldogs 6 vs Bulls 30

The battle of the Bulldogs vs Bulls was in favour to the latter at Crestwood Oval in their Round 12 clash.

Alvin Chong Nee struck first through Alvin Chong Nee early on, however it was the hosts who scored twice before the break to take a 10-6 lead following a sin-binning that left the Bulldogs down to twelve men.

But the second half belonged to the Bulls, scoring a further four tries with the Bulldogs unable to trouble the scoresheet, resulting in a 30-6 defeat.
