NSW Women's Premiership: Bulldogs 20 def by Dragons 26

It was a close contest to kick off their season, however the Bulldogs were pipped 26-6 against the St George Dragons in the opening round of the NSW Women's Premiership at Jubilee Stadium in Kogarah.

Centre Hannah Makira took the honour of scoring the side's first try of the year in the third minute, before the Dragons struck back in quick succession to take the lead.

However, the Blue and Whites struck back to shorten the gap to a 10-8 deficit at the break with Charlotte Eather touching down.

The momentum continued for the Bulldogs with Milan Ieremia adding her name to the scoresheet before Eather bagged her second.

The hosts returned serve, before Shafenior Luis scored for a 22-20 scoreline with ten minutes remaining, but the Dragons' had the final say with a try just moments from full-time.

Goal-kicking ultimately proved the difference, with the Bulldogs unable to capitalise on their five tries.

Ron Massey Cup: Bulldogs 30 def Manly Leagues 4

It was another big win for the Ron Massey Cup team, pulling off a dominant 30-4 victory over Manly Leagues at Lionel Watts Park in French's Forest.

The Bulldogs blew away their opponents with a 20-nil lead at the break thanks to tries to Mace Andrew (2nd minute), Daniel O'Donnell (18th), Corey Ackers (22th) and Damon Humphrys (31st).

Baxter Warner added his name to the scoresheet to extend the lead, and while Manly hit back, it was too little too late as Elsiyah Laumatia touched down for the cherry on top to seal the 30-4 victory.
