Pathways Wrap Round 14: Bulldogs Pile Points on Eels

Two massive wins rounded off a treble of victories over arch-rivals Parramatta, with the NSW Cup side and Jersey Flegg side combining for 100 points.

NSW Cup: Bulldogs 60 def Eels 4

The NSW Cup side enjoyed a 56-point victory over the Eels at Accor Stadium on the King's Birthday, running in 11 tries to one in a demolition.

Taye Cochrane got the ball rolling in the second minute, before a quick-fire double to Nick O'Meley and Logan Spinks put the side ahead 28-nil after 22 minutes.

Alex Conti's four-pointer put the Blue and Whites ahead at the break 34-nil, despite the side being a man down due to a sin-bin in the 29th minute.

Michael Nassar added his name to the scoresheet before O'Meley bagged a hat-trick before Parramatta troubled the scoreboard with less than 20 on the clock.

But the final period of the match saw Patrick Young and Alex Conti touch down, before O'Meley scored his fourth in the dying stages as the Bulldogs hit 60.

Jonathan Su'a, despite not scoring a try, enjoyed a 16-point haul with eight conversions in a memorable outing for the side.

Jersey Flegg Cup: Bulldogs 40 def Eels 16

It was a similar result for the Jersey Flegg Cup side who were victorious over the Eels at Belmore Sports Ground, taking home a 40-16 victory to etch themselves into the top four.

Parramatta got on the board with two early tries with David Leota crossing, before a further two four-pointers to Latrell King and Maila Setu saw the Bulldogs take a 16-10 lead at the break.

The Eels levelled after 45 minutes to open the second-half scoring, but the second stanza belonged to the Bulldogs after Fing bagged his second. The side scored four tries in the span of 19 minutes with Raymond Puru, Chase Paterson, Jayden Smith and Bronson Reuben crossing.
