Pathways Wrap Round 9: Hat-Trick of Wins for Bulldogs

It was a hat-trick of wins in a great weekend for the Bulldogs Pathways in Round 9, with all three sides claiming big wins.

NSW Cup: Bulldogs 22 def Bears 18

It was the upset of the round in the NSW Cup as the Bulldogs held off the ladder-leading North Sydney Bears with a 22-18 victory at Accor Stadium.

The Bears got on the board first before Sosaia Alatini crossed moments later, while Jed Reardon touched down with moments remaining in the first half for a 12-6 lead.

Norths dominated the opening half hour of the second stanza with two more four-pointers, but the never-say-die attitude of the Blue and Whites shone through with Jethro Rinakama scoring with six on the clock.

Down by two points with as many minutes remaining, Kade Dykes was the hero for the Bulldogs, who triumphed 22-18 in emphatic circumstances.
