Game-Changers Physical Health Course Kicks Off!

As the Game-Changers Program continues to grow, students from Kingsgrove North High School engaged in a new kind of education within the walls of Belmore Sports Ground; the Bulldogs Game-Changers Physical Health Course.

Designed to help build lifelong habits around health and wellbeing, the Physical Health Course has been designed around the notion that healthy habits formed early can last a lifetime.

In the epicentre of Bulldogs heartland, students learned to take control of their wellbeing through topics including nutrition, physical activity, personal hygiene, sleep, and the risks of harmful substances, all relevant to their daily lives.

Participating in the program is not only rewarding for students but also for the Bulldogs team. Head of Consumer Georgia Ravics, who also currently plays in the NRLW shared her excitement about supporting the next generation:

“It’s incredibly fulfilling to see the impact we’re making beyond the field," Ravics said.

"Being able to help young people build healthy habits and confidence is something we’re truly proud of at the Bulldogs."

According to Bulldogs Head of Community & Foundation Damon Koulouris, the program has the potential to make a lasting impact.

“We expect to see students start thinking differently about their health - from their eating and sleeping habits to how they manage stress," Koulouris said.

"The goal is to help them take ownership of their wellbeing and apply what they learn in meaningful ways. This program is designed to build habits that can support them well into the future.

It’s something we’re proud to deliver as part of our commitment to the community.

That impact is echoed in the school community. Nazih Elmasri, Head Teacher of Welfare at Kingsgrove North High School, reflected on the difference the program has made.

"The Game-Changers program has been a transformative experience for our students at Kingsgrove North High School," Nazih said.

Each week, students engaged with guest speakers from diverse industries who not only inspired them but also expanded their understanding of health, fitness, and wellbeing beyond the classroom.

"It’s had a lasting impact on their confidence, motivation, and overall engagement in school."

The Bulldogs would like to thank proud partner The Butcher Boys who helped make this possible through their ongoing support of the local community, giving students the chance to grow and lead future generations.
