Game Day Guide: Round 22 v Dolphins

We are very excited to play in front of our Members, travelling fans and the Bundaberg locals, as we travel to the region play this weekend.

Wave your flags and bang your drums at our Home Ground in Queensland, Salter Oval this Sunday July 30, as we square off against the Dolphins in their inaugural season.

MEMBER ACCESS

Bundaberg Members can scan into the game at Salter Oval using their Membership Cards.

Northern Grandstand Members will scan into Gate A and sit in the allocated seat on their Membership Card.

Southern Grandstand Members will scan into Gate B and sit in the allocated seat on their Membership Card.

Grandstand, Premium Sideline and Standing Members will enter via Gate A or B. Grandstand and Premium Sideline Members will be required to sit in the allocated seat on their Membership Card.

Standing Members will have General Admission access and will be required to find a suitable place to send.

All other Members excluding Bundaberg Members will be required to purchase tickets to access the event.

If you have any enquiries on Game Day, a Membership Representative will be stationed in the Box Office located at Gate A from 11:45am until the end of half time.

SAFETY & SECURITY

Entering the field of play at any point of the event is strictly prohibited.

Offenders will be prosecuted by Police with lifetime bans to NRL Events and monetary fines will be enforced.

This is to ensure the safety of all patrons, working staff and players.

MEET & GREET

During our stay in Bundaberg, Members and fans will have the opportunity to get up and close with their favourite players during a signing session.

The signing session will take place on Saturday July 29 at Salter Oval.

Members will have the exclusive opportunity to have early access to the event as they are invited to attend from 4:00pm. The General Public will have access from 4:30pm with the event set to conclude at 5:00pm.

WOMEN IN LEAGUE ROUND

We look forward to welcoming Members and fans to Salter Oval as we celebrate Women In League Round. Keep an eye out as female representatives from Local Rugby League Clubs will be participating in our pre-game Guard of Honour.

MEMBER EXPERIENCES

We are excited to showcase our loyal Members in Bundaberg with our exclusive 18 Jersey and Junior Rookie experiences set to take place pre-game.

TRAFFIC & TRANSPORT

Fans are encouraged to plan their trip and consider all the available travel options ahead of time.

BUSES – Stewart and Sons and Duffy’s Busses will be operational during their regular times and routes.

DRIVING - Traffic will be heavier than usual on roads approaching Salter Oval including Takalvan Street, White Street, Avoca Street, Payne Street, and Walker Street as crowds travel to and from the game. To ensure pedestrian safety during pre, during and following the event some local roads may close and a reduction in speed limits may apply.

PARKING – Parking is limited on local streets and car parks in the area, fans are advised to arrive early and allow additional travel time.

ROAD CLOSURES – White Steet will be closed on Sunday 30 July 2023 from 7:00am through to 7:00pm. During the closures, traffic controllers and police will be in attendance.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

For the comfort, safety and enjoyment of all patrons, Council reserves the right to:

·        Refuse entry to any persons deemed to be intoxicated, drug effected, disorderly and/or engaging in anti-social behaviour.

·        Refuse entry to any unauthorised persons.

·        Refuse entry of items which have the potential to cause injury or public nuisance. (i.e. large flags/banners, musical instruments, etc.)

·        Council reserves the right to inspect/search bags of all patrons who enter or exit the venue, regardless of size. This may include the touching of the outside of the bag and/or seeking assistance of the bag owner to remove items from the bag. Patrons who refuse inspections or searches may be denied entry to the venue.

·        CCTV is located in and around the event precinct for the purpose of venue security and public safety. Footage may be provided to the Queensland Police Service. All personal information is handled in accordance with the Information Privacy Act 2009. 

·        Patrons are only authorised to access the seats/areas of the venue to which they are ticketed

·        Persons gaining unauthorised access to the venue and/or the venue’s field of play may be liable for prosecution. 

·        Patrons who cause a disturbance, or refuse to comply with requests made by Council and event staff will be evicted from the venue.

·        Pass-outs will not be issued. Persons under 12 years of age will not be permitted entry unless under the direct supervision of an adult.

·        Alcoholic beverages cannot be taken into or from the venue by patrons.

·        Smoking, including use of electronic cigarettes, personal vaporisers, etc. is only permitted in the Designated Smoking areas. Patrons who smoke outside the Designated Smoking areas at the venue may be immediately evicted from the venue.

·        Patrons wishing to bring personal items into the venue do so at their own risk. Council will not be held responsible for any damages to, loss or theft of a patron’s personal property.

·        Umbrellas are not permitted into the venue. It is recommended patrons bring ponchos or rain jackets for use inside the venue. 

·        Due to safety reasons, strollers and prams are not permitted into the venue’s ticketed seating areas and cannot be kept in aisles or other open areas which may impact the safe passage of patrons. 

·        Unauthorised soliciting and customer surveying is not permitted.

·        Patrons are not permitted to throw any objects around or within the venue seating areas.

·        Some sporting and other activities are dangerous. Patrons viewing such activities do so at their own risk.

PROHIBITED ITEMS

As per the Conditions of Entry, the following restricted/prohibited items are not permitted into Salter Oval:

·        Glass or cans, including aerosol cans or metal containers of any style

·        Alcoholic beverages and illicit drugs 

·        Flares, fireworks, explosives, smoke bombs or other

·        Incendiary devices

·        Laser pens/pointers 

·        Drones 

·        Knives or other dangerous weapons 

·        Chairs/stools/folding seats (disability support items permitted)

·        Cameras and recording devices (for commercial purposes) including tripods 

·        Metal flag poles, extendable flag poles and/or flag poles of more than 1.4 metres in length and 2cm in diameter 

·        Oversized banners and flags which are deemed to cause public nuisance. Specific conditions may apply for some events regarding the entry of flag poles, flags and banners

·        Whistles, hooters, and horns and other musical instruments (e.g.Drums)

·        Balloons, confetti or shredded paper

·        Scooters, roller skates, skateboards and push bikes

·        Not to wear or otherwise display commercial, political or other offensive signage or logos

·        Animals (with the exception of certified service animals

If any of these are items are bought to the Stadium, they will undergo cloaking prior to entry by Event Security.
