Skelton piling on the tries

Jeral Skelton may not have cracked first grade yet but the Bulldogs winger is a large part of the reason that the club currently sits on top of the NSW Cup ladder.

Despite the injury toll in the top grade, Canterbury has kept a core of quality players in the NSW Cup all season.

And since the inclusion of sometime first graders Kyle Flanagan, Jackson Topine and Fa'amanu Brown, they have surged to the top.

Skelton, who is yet to make his NRL debut, has scored eight tries in just nine games.

The 24-year-old's elusiveness comes from his previously life playing Rugby Sevens for Australia. He is also the cousin of speedy former Super Rugby and seven player Peter Betham and powerhouse Wallabies lock Will Skelton.

Skelton will feature in this weekend's NSW Cup fixture as the Bulldogs take on the Parramatta Eels at Accor Stadium.
