Life Member: Peter Winchester

Peter Winchester joined Canterbury in 1972 as a five eighth.

Peter progressed to reserve grade in his initial season and played in the Premiership winning team against St George.

In 1973, Peter started the season in first grade in the opening match against Manly and was relegated for a short time for Tony Herring.

Peter recovered his first grade position to play in the Preliminary Semi-Final against Newtown.

In 1974 he started the season in first grade as five eighth but was moved to the centre position mid-season and played in the Grand Final against Easts (Roosters).

In 1975, Peter became a regular member of the reserve grade team and captained the reserve grade team to the Preliminary Semi-Final against Cronulla.

In 1976, Peter continued in reserve grade and retired at the end of the season.

Peter was a Director of the Football Club from 2005-2007

Peter is currently on the Bulldogs Ambassadors Club Committee.
