Peter Tunks played 98 games for South Sydney from 1977 to 1983 as second row forward.

Peter was captain again in 1989 and joined Penrith in 1990 to play 12 games that season before being relegated to reserve grade.
Peter played with Salford and Sheffield before being captain-coach of Oldham.
In 2004, Peter was nominated for the Berries to Bulldogs 70 Year Team of Champions.
