Junior Reps: Round 1 Wrap

Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs swept South Sydney Rabbitohs in all three junior grades in the opening round of the NSWRL representative season on Saturday at Belmore Sports Ground.

A new look Bulldogs Tarsha Gale Cup side got off to a winning start with a 22-14 victory over South Sydney. A long-range try from Canterbury-Bankstown's Piper Spackman early in the first half kick her side into gear. A dominant start to the second half by the Bulldogs saw two quick tries scored in succession through Leela Ma-Chong and Kate Fallon, the Rabbitohs unable to close the gap by game's end.

Harold Matthews Cup

Two tries to hooker Mohamad Rajab helped the Bulldogs ease over the Rabbitohs with a dominant 28-4 win in their Harold Matthews Cup tie.

SG Ball Cup

Local junior Joseph O'Neil put in a commanding performance to lead the Bulldogs to a 36-22 win over the Rabbitohs. The young side showed plenty of poise in their Round 1 clash ahead of next week's showdown against the Parramatta Eels at New Era Stadium.
