Key Match-Up

Kyle Flanagan v Sam Walker: Flanagan made his return to first grade last weekend against the Sea Eagles after spending time with feeder club side Mounties in NSW Cup. Shifting to a new role at five-eighth, the playmaker will look to repay the faith and put his best foot forward against the young halves combination of Walker and Hutchison.

Walker will face the Bulldog's for the first time in his debut season. The young rake has shown maturity and perseverance in his career-to-date, keeping his side in the top 8 despite the Roosters encountering numerous suspensions, injuries and unexpected retirements throughout the year.

Stat Attack

Flanagan had a promising start against the Newcastle Knights in the Bulldog's 2021 season opener drawing up 3 try assists. The half will look to build on confidence to put together a strong showing on the paddock. The five-eighth has averaged 24 tackles across 9 games with a 92.8% tackle efficiency rate.

Walker has been in the thick of it since his NRL debut against the New Zealand Warriors in Round 4. The halfback has played conductor to his surrounding ensemble to orchestrate 13 line break assists, along with 12 try assists to his name.

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs face the Sydney Roosters at Bankwest Stadium this Saturday evening kicking off at 7:35PM AEST.
