Pathways Wrap Round 21: Double Tonne for Bulldogs

It was a tough afternoon at Belmore Sports Ground for the Bulldogs' NSW Cup side, downed 38-16 at the hands of the New Zealand Warriors on Saturday.

The visitors struck twice in the first fifteen minutes to gain the ascendency, and while the Bulldogs struck back through Broden Konz, they faced a twelve-point deficit at the break. 

Taye Cochrane added his name to the scoresheet just a few minutes upon resumption, before Konz added his double as the gap narrowed to just two points.

However, the Warriors regained their momentum and scored a further four tries, taking home the two competition points in the process.

Jersey Flegg Cup: Bulldogs 56 def Warriors 10

The Bulldogs' Jersey Flegg Cup side made another giant step to solidifying a spot in the finals with a 56-10 thumping of the New Zealand Warriors at Belmore Sports Ground.

A 20-4 half-time lead thanks to tries to Chelden Hayward (2nd), Bronson Reuben (19th), Latrell King (21st) and Jayden Smith (35th) put the Blue and Whites in good stead to take home their third consecutive victory. 

The second half began just like the first with Chase Paterson, Sosefo Finau, Raymond Puru and Kaawyn Patterson adding their name to the scoresheet, with Reuben adding a second. 

Chineduh Udeh scored in the dying minutes to bring the scoreline to the half-century, while Paterson touched down for his second in the final minute of play. Reuben finished the day with a 20-point haul with his brace and six goals in another dominant display. 

Ron Massey Cup: Bulldogs 51 def Dirty Reds 20

A late blitz in the first half has propelled the Bulldogs Ron Massey Cup team to a 51-20 defeat of the Glebe Dirty Reds at Hammondville Oval.

After a closely-fought opening to the match that saw the scoreline at 18-10 after half an hour, the Blue and Whites exploded with three tries in ten minutes to take a handy 34-10 lead at the break.

The points kept flowing in the second stanza with a further three tries, before halfback Damon Humphrys landed a field goal in the final minute - along with his seven goals - to bring the scoreline to 51. 

There were eight separate try scorers throughout the team-inspired performance, with Corey Ackers, Jai Callaghan (2), Jack Ennis, Zain Alameddine, Jeziah Tua'au Baxter Warner, Fine Fale and Justin Matamua all touching down.
