Round 8 Team News: Pay finalises line-up for Rabbitohs clash

Dean Pay has finalised his 17-man line-up to take on the South Sydney Rabbitohs tonight at Bankwest Stadium.

Marcelo Montoya will play his first NRL match in just under 12 months having recovered from knee ligament damage suffered in Round 18 last season, followed by a hamstring tear suffered in May of this year. Montoya will take his place next to Reimis Smith in the centres.

Ofahiki Ogden, Jack Cogger, Luke Thompson and Sione Katoa drop out of the squad to face the Rabbitohs.

Pay confirmed on Saturday the club's new recruit will not make his NRL debut this weekend.

"No, he won't play," Pay said. "He hasn't trained for a number of months so I think it's a big ask for him to play tomorrow. Hopefully we've got a little bit of run in him, got into a little bit of contact work with him, just getting back into the groove of things so we could get him on the park next week."

Dylan Napa will play his 150th NRL match against the Rabbitohs amongst a team that contains several changes from last week's fixture against the Wests Tigers.

Also returning to the side on the wings are Nick Meaney, who has recovered from a hip flexor strain and Christian Crichton, who is back after a one week suspension.

Dallin Watene-Zelezniak will move to full back in place of Will Hopoate who will miss 6 to 8 weeks after suffering a high-grade tear of the syndesmosis ligament in his left ankle.

In addition, Jake Averillo is rested after suffering a head knock against the Tigers last week, while Kerrod Holland returns to the bench and Jack Cogger drops out of the 17.
