Brown and Smith charged

Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs winger Reimis Smith and Parramatta Eels forward Nathan Brown have both been charged by the match review committee following Thursday night's match at Bankwest Stadium.

Brown was charged with a grade 2 shoulder charge after a hit on Bulldogs fullback Dallin Watene-Zelezniak in the 48th-minute and resulted in him being placed on report and sent to the sin bin.

The lock forward is facing a three-week ban, but if he takes the early guilty plea to the charge he will miss two matches and be free to return for week one of the finals.

Meanwhile, Smith has been charged with a grade one striking offence after his head made contact with Eels winger Maika Sivo in the 50th minute.

An early guilty plea would see him miss one match.
