The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs have today received confirmation from the NSW State Government that they will receive $2 million in funding towards Stage Two of the development of their Centre of Excellence at Belmore.

The funding will play a key role in creating world-class facilities at the Belmore Sportsground. These facilities will assist in the continued development of grassroots and community programs in the local area, in addition to complementing the State Government's overall quest to create an improved network of stadia.

Bulldogs Chief Executive Andrew Hill was delighted with the announcement:

"The club is delighted with the approval of funding for Stage Two of the development of facilities at Belmore. The Bulldogs are looking to create a world-class training facility for our players, and this will assist us greatly in doing this. It will also be a tremendous boost for the local community. We understand the importance of providing opportunities at both a community and grassroots level and programs that are currently in operation will benefit significantly from an improved Centre of Excellence at Belmore."
