Round Two of the junior rep season saw the three Bulldogs side clash with the Illawarra Steelers at WIN Stadium.

After Round One was cancelled due to the extreme heat in Sydney, the Harold Matthews, Tarsha Gale Cup and SG Ball sides headed down to Wollongong to start their 2017 campaign.

The day started with the Harold Matthews match and after trailing the Steelers 14-4 at half-time, the Bulldogs got themselves back in the game and despite scoring two tries to one on the other side of the break, the Steelers hung on to win, 18-16.

The second game was a historic moment when the first ever Bulldogs female under 18 side took to the field.

The Tarsha Gale Cup is a nine-a-side competition that will be conducted as part of the NSWRL Junior Representative program, in conjunction with the Harold Matthews and SG Ball fixtures.

The girls went down to the Steelers 26-22 after trailing 14-8 at half-time.

The final game saw the Bulldogs SG Ball side come away from WIN Stadium with a nail biting two point victory.

The home side lead the young pups 16-6 at the break, before an impressive second half display gave the Bulldogs a 30-28 victory.

Round Three of the junior rep season will see the Bulldogs Harold Matthews and SG Ball side clash with Western Suburbs Magpies at Campbelltown Sports Stadium, while the Tarsha Gale Cup will play the Canberra Raiders at the Raiders Club.

All three games will be played on Saturday February 25.
