* * * * *
How have you found your first pre-season with the NRL squad?
It’s been enjoyable training with the older boys. It’s a dream come true, but there is still plenty of work to do.
What do you take away from your brilliant year in the NYC in 2016?
It was all down to hard work. Last year I focused on working hard and getting a place in the squad. It was an enjoyable year and to come away with the NYC player of the Year was a bonus.
D'Rhys Miller 2016 Highlights!
What have you learnt over the summer?
I have learnt to really listen to the older boys and take in all the feedback from them. The Coaching staff have been good to me and have taught me a lot. I have just been taking everything on board.
What have you focused on over the pre-season?
I have focused on my overall fitness to be honest. Pre-season is the time to get fit, so In have just put my head down and have been working hard.
You are a local junior, so is this opportunity a dream come true?
It is a dream come true having the opportunity to train full-time. Growing up and playing for Bankstown Bulls who have been good to me and coming through the grades here at the club, is really rewarding.
What has Des expected from you?
He has wanted me to focus on my game awareness and my work under fatigue. Fitness has been a real area of my game that needs improving, so coming in every day and working hard and doing the things he wants me to do under fatigue, is what he has expected from me. I have been trying my best to make me happy.
2017 is definitely a year not to miss out on being a Member!
