The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs NYC side have held on for a 34-24 victory over the Newcastle Knights at Hunter Stadium this morning.

It was a convincing first half from the young pups with a D’Rhys Miller double helping them jump out to a 30-6 lead. The other first half try scorers were fullback Josh Bergamin, winger Jason Finau and centre Kiko Manu whilst Adam Keighran converted all five tries.

Whilst the Knight crossed for just the one try in the first stanza, the second half was more theirs with the novacastrians putting a scare through the young pups camp, clawing their way back to 34-24 at the full-time siren.

The second half scorer for the Bulldogs was Finau, giving the winger a double for the match. Keighran couldn’t convert the try from out wide.

The Bulldogs now head back to Sydney with a short turnaround before facing the Sea-Eagles at ANZ Stadium on Thursday night.
