David Klemmer discusses the Storm trial and his recovery from shoulder surgery.

After missing the earlier parts of the pre-season due to off-season surgery, Klemmer will have his first hit out before the season starts this weekend against the Melbourne Storm.

“I can’t wait to get out there with the boys,” Klemmer said.

Klemmer required a shoulder operation at the end of the 2015 season and after being restricted to light duties before Christmas, the representative forward is ready to go and has ticked every box along the way.

“I missed the first half of the pre-season after having a cleanout.

“Getting the contact, the wrestle and my rehab into my shoulder has made it coming along well.

The man mountain was outstanding in 2015 and no one will forget the game against the Storm in round 16 when he stamped his authority on the experienced Storm pack.

It was an occasion Klemmer won’t forget and getting back to Belmore is very exciting for the prop forward.

“It’s good to get back out here and I can’t wait to get back during the season.

“It’s always a good day to play at Belmore and the boys love playing here.”

The Bulldogs will host the Melbourne Storm this weekend in its final trial before the 2016 season begins.
