Winger Sam Perrett has discussed the Bulldogs form and the performance of the forward pack ahead of the Knights clash.

The Bulldogs have produced some exciting footy after the last month resulting in three victories in a row.

The recent win over the Rabbitohs was a real boost of confidence for the side and for winger Perrett, the momentum the side is gaining is a real sign there is something special building at Belmore.

“Momentum is a huge thing in this game, especially leading up to the finals,” said Perrett.

“I can definitely feel the momentum picking up for us. Everyone is starting to click and there is a really good spirit amongst the squad.”

It has been a year of highs and lows for the Bulldogs in 2015, but since the Origin period, players returning from injury and a sense of belief building within the squad that they can do something special, the Bulldogs have been able to produce some of their best footy of late and have teams above them, on the ladder looking over their shoulders.

“Sometimes it takes an odd set of circumstances to get your stuff together, but that’s what’s happened to us.

“We could have finished in a lot stronger position, but we have let some of the opportunities earlier in the year slip by and the only thing that matters, is where you finish up and for us we are coming into the right form at the right time of the year.”

A big part of the Bulldogs success in recent weeks has been the performance of their forwards, led by the likes of Greg Eastwood, Sam Kasiano, David Klemmer and Frank Pritchard.

“A game is never won by the backs alone. You need go forward, you need momentum and you need good defence in the middle.”
