Joe Thomas won a premiership with the Bulldogs in 1988 and Bulldogs TV has spoken with him to take a look at his time at the club.

Joe Thomas played 23 games for South Sydney from 1984 to 1987 as a lock forward.

In 1988, Joe joined Canterbury and started the season in reserve grade playing lock and five-eight. He received the opportunity to play first grade as hooker against St George when Eddie Muller was relegated.



Joe was to be the regular hooker for the next three seasons and played in the 1988 Premiership winning team against Balmain.

After being a regular member of the first grade team in 1989 and 1990, Joe joined Western Suburbs to play 53 games from 1991 to 1993.

In 1994, Joe joined Illawarra to play six first grade games.

In 2004, Joe was nominated for the Berries to Bulldogs 70 Year Team of Champions.
