The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs will start season 2014 with a Friday night blockbuster against the Brisbane Broncos at ANZ Stadium.
The opening game to the 2014 season is sure to excite all members and fans.
After a disappointing end to 2013, the Bulldogs will look to get their season off to a flying start against the men from north of the border that will include former Bulldog Ben Barba.
With the draw released in its entirety today, there is good news for Members and fans with a more even spread across the days of play. With the first 20 rounds allocated, the Bulldogs will play three ANZ Stadium home matches on a Friday night (Rnd 1 v Broncos, Rnd 11 v Roosters, Rnd 17 v Sea-Eagles), two on Saturday (Rnd 8 v Knights, Rnd 20 v Cowboys), one on Sunday (Rnd 14 v Eels) and have one Monday night game (Rnd 2 v Sharks). Home games against the Panthers (Rnd 21), Tigers (Rnd 24) and Rabbitohs (Rnd 25) will be scheduled mid-way through the season.
After the confirmation today that the Club will take two home matches to other venues, it has been confirmed that the blue and whites will tackle the Melbourne Storm at nib Stadium, Perth in round four on Saturday, 29 March and also the New Zealand Warriors in round 10 (Sunday, 18 May) at Waikato Stadium, Hamilton.
As part of all Membership packages, there will be three reciprocal rights away games that Members will have access to at ANZ Stadium. The first of those will come in round four against the Rabbitohs (Friday, 18 April), with the annual Good Friday clash again expected to be a huge encounter. The second will come in round 19 when the Bulldogs will clash with the Tigers in Rivalry Round on Sunday, 20 July. The third, against the Eels in Round 23 will be confirmed mid-way through the season.
