Bulldogs players David Klemmer and Leilani Latu joined NRL Development officers Ryan Borg and Kasey Badger at the 2013 NRL July School Holiday Clinics at Killara Reserve and Lidcombe Oval on Wednesday, July 3 and July 10.

Local juniors aged 5-12 years old participated in the Killara clinic, while 13-16 year olds attended the clinic at Lidcombe Oval. Both clinics were aimed at developing and improving skills of young players.

The juniors split into age groups and ran through various drills, practising an array of league skills including kicking, running and defending.

Klemmer and Latu observed the skills on display, impressed with some of the talent of our juniors.

After the clinics, Klemmer and Latu spoke to the players about their time in junior league and their personal paths to the NRL.

Anything can happen if you put your mind to it, Klemmer told the future football stars.

Train hard, play with your mates and have fun.

The boys then participated in Q&A sessions, fielding a range of questions about diet, training schedules, idols growing up and who their man-crush is (Channing Tatum Klemmer, Ryan Borg Latu).

After a chat at the Lidcombe clinic, Klemmer and Latu joined the juniors in a game of oz tag. There was plenty of banter between the two as they played on opposing teams, much to the excitement of the juniors.

Both clinics wrapped up with plenty of autographs and photos with the kids.

Thank you to NRL Development, Ryan Borg, Kasey Badger and David and Leilani for giving their time to our local juniors.
