After a great win last weekend against the Brisbane Broncos for the Bulldogs Holden Cup side it was all about focusing on their preparation and key areas to get the win.

Coach Andy Patmore said,

Well after 3 losses it was an outstanding resultwe focused on a few key areasthe boys really committed to the win against the Broncos.

An area of the sides game that stood out was their defence.

Our defence on the try line was outstanding, said Patmore.

Although the sides effort in defence pleased coach Patmore, their completion rate is certainly an area they can improve, because completing your sets and getting into the grind certainly make winning games more satisfying.

Our completion rate wasnt good, its an area we need to work on, said Patmore.

This week the team takes on a Dragons outfit and although they sit outside the top eight, they are a side with quality players and are a side that can score points from anywhere.

They play quick ad-line footythey can score a try from anywhere, said Patmore.

We all know what a rivalry the Bulldogs and Dragons have and although it is the Holden Cup, coach Any Patmore believes there will be feeling amongst the two sides.

Its an old traditional rivalryno doubt it will be a big week for us, said Patmore.

It was great to see the Holden Cup team put in a great performance last weekend after the disappointments leading up to the Brisbane game. A man who was pleased with the way the side went about getting the result was skipper Moses Mbye.

We gained a lot of confidence out of last weekends game and its about taking that confidence into this weekwe just need to play to our structures and processes, said Mbye.

Lets hope the Holden Cup side has turned a corner and they can only build on from last weekend. It will be a great clash and one all members and fans will be looking forward to.

Just a reminder the Holden Cup team play at Belmore on Saturday at 12:45pm before the NSW Cup at 3pm.
