After 5 days off at the back of last week and with the rep weekend, it gave our pups an opportunity to rest and recover over those days and reflect on the start of the season they have made which sees them sitting in 4th position on the Holden Cup ladder.

Speaking to coach Andy Patmore about the 5 days off, he did say it came at the right time as it gave the boys an opportunity to get back to see family and get away from footy. But this week started with a few solid sessions to get the boys back on track and look forward to this weeks game. A game that will require the boys to refocus and get back to playing the footy we know they can play.

Having loss leading into the bye, this week will no doubt be a game where the boys want to get back onto the winners circle. They take on a Cronulla side that have not loss over the past month and with key players like Michael Lichaa, Faamanu Brown and Nesi Mataitonga in their squad the boys know this will be a tough hit out and those 3 players especially will be a handful. Brown leads the line breaks for the Holden Cup and is amongst the top try scorers in the NYC as well.

Talking of try-scorers, we get our own back in John Sila. John has been sidelined for a few weeks with a leg injury but with him back into the side it can only strengthen it as he was outstanding before he got injured. It will be great to see him back out there and lets hope he can cross the white strip a few times this Sunday afternoon.

I love Sunday afternoon footy and a little road trip to get the job done is no better feeling. Make it a mission!
