The Bulldogs Junior representative sides had mixed results against the Illawarra Steelers in Round 8 of the Junior Rep competitions at Win Stadium Wollongong on Saturday.


The Bulldogs Harold Matthews Cup side (Under 16) defeated Illawarra 28-10 to make it back to back wins. The victory cemented the side in the top eight, and a good tune up for final series in a fortnight.


Best for the Bulldogs Harold Matthews Cup side were, George Francis, Adam Keighran and captain Jayden Okunbor.


The Bulldogs SG Ball Cup side (Under 18) on the other hand suffered a 36-20 loss to the Steelers. The second half in particular was poor, leaving Brad Hendersons side needing a win this week to cement their position in the top eight.


Best for the Bulldogs SG Ball side were Hakaraia Toi Toi, captain Anthony Semrany and Marcelo Montoya.


Round 9 next week and the final week of the premiership rounds next week sees the Bulldogs Junior Rep squads return to Belmore Sports Ground to take on the Western Suburbs Magpies. The Harold Matthews Cup kicking off @ 11:30am noon and SG Ball Cup @ 1:00pm.
