Hasler Previews Warriors Clash

Read more quotes from Des Hasler’s press conference in Dunedin before the Bulldogs’ Round Three clash with the Warriors.

on settling into Dunedin…

From the moment we stepped off the plane we were welcomed with a traditional Maori haka. Dunedin has opened its arms and I’m sure both side will put on a great spectacle on Friday night.

on the two losses…

The losses have been very tight. There’s probably been merit in the performances, but at the end of the day we have walked away without the points and while it’s still early, a win in Dunedin is pretty important.

on Forsyth Barr Stadium…

Both of our opening games have been played in wet conditions, so a dry stadium is foreign for us. I have heard a lot about the stadium and I’m sure the boys are looking forward to getting out there on Friday night.

on the Warriors without Foran and Tuivasa-Sheck…

Keiran (Foran) is still recovering from shoulder surgery, but they are still a handy side without him playing. Tuivasa-Sheck’s replacement Tui Lolohea has always managed to come up with some good performances, so we will have to keep an eye on him.

The Bulldogs arrived in Dunedin on Wednesday afternoon ahead of their Round Three clash with the New Zealand Warriors.

The team was greeted at the airport with a traditional Dunedin welcome and told how much the local rugby league community was looking forward to supporting them on Friday night.
