Adam Elliott will enter the 2017 season looking to play regular first grade and cement a permanent spot in Des Hasler’s 17.
The 22-year old, made his NRL debut last season against the Manly Sea Eagles in the opening Round, but managed only seven games due to injuries. After an intense pre-season full of hard work though, Elliott is ready to take the next step.
“I’m another year older between the ears and when you get to this level, that’s what will really help. This year I have taken in alot from the coaches, but I’ve also learnt plenty from the playing group,” Elliott said.
Elliott was named in the Indigenous All Stars side earlier in the year, but had to withdraw due to injury. Although it was a setback, the Tathra Sea Eagles junior has still been earmarked by Captain James Graham as a player to watch in 2017.
“I played in a trial game a few weeks ago and James Graham texted me before it. He just told me to rip in. It was the last message I looked at before the game and to come from the Captain, it gives you a boost to know that he is confident in having me alongside him on the field.”
