Bulldogs.com.au catches up Josh Reynolds on his return to pre-season to chat about the upcoming summer, his holidays, 2016 and more.

Reynolds made his return to Belmore on Wednesday after a well-earned break.

The first session back began with a yo-yo test. A test that evaluates an individual's ability to repeatedly perform intervals over a prolonged period of time and for the players, after having seven weeks off, it’s always a tough ask on day one.

“It’s a testing test in itself,” said Reynolds

“I’m pretty sure Des will be happy with the results from the boys.

“You obviously do a little bit of training in the off-season, but nothing compares to that when the pressure is on and the coaching staff are demanding the best from you.”

It was a frustrating 2015 for the local junior and the off-season gave Reynolds an opportunity to get away and clear his head.

“I went to Cancun which was great, but I’m glad to be back and back around the boys.”

The members and fans can expect a big pre-season from the talented number six after missing the start of the past two summers with off-season surgery, but starting from day one with the playing squad excites Reynolds.

“It’s my first pre-season in two and a half years.”

“It’s about time I put some size on and with a change to training, I’m excited about what lies ahead for us this summer.”

The players will be tested and put under enormous pressure leading up to Christmas, but for Reynolds, this time of the year is about getting everything in order for what will be a big 2016 from himself and the Bulldogs.

“Getting fit and putting on size won’t hurt me.”

“I want to focus on working on all the little skills I need to work on, especially the areas I didn’t nail last year. I’m really excited.

“Fingers crossed it’s a lot better season for myself and the team, because we weren’t happy with happened last year.”
