Waikato the Home of Halligan
Former Bulldogs winger Darryl Halligan expects a big turn out this week for the round 10 clash between the Bulldogs and the New Zealand Warriors.
Halligan was born in Waikato, New Zealand and before defecting to rugby league, Halligan played amateur rugby union for Waikato.
As the Bulldogs prepare to take their round 10 clash to Hamilton, the home of Halligan, he expects a big support for the boys from Belmore this weekend.
"The Dogs have a good following here and with a number of Kiwi Internationals in their side they will get a full house," said Halligan
The question is always raised when sides take home games away from their regular home ground, but Halligan believes it's a great iniative from the club.
"A great inovative idea from Raelene and Canterbury to take the game to Hamilton...it will be a huge boost for the city," said Halligan.
