The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are thrilled to announce the signing of young gun Mercedez Taulelei-Siala on a two-year deal.
A talented outside back, 20-year-old Taulelei-Siala joins the Club after a breakout season which saw her crowned NRLW Rookie of the Year and earn selection for Fetu Samoa in the World Cup.
Taulelei-Siala has had a rapid rise in women's rugby league, representing Queensland Under 19s and Australian Schoolgirls while also making her NRLW debut at just 18-years old.
She established herself as a consistent first-grader in 2026, starring for the Newcastle Knights on the wing with 13 tries in 12 appearances to go with her 16 linebreaks and average of 110 running metres per game.

NRLW Head Coach Mark O'Meley was excited to confirm Taulelei-Siala's signing.
“Mercedez has had a massive year with the Knights and to top that off by being named in the Samoan World Cup squad is a huge achievement,” he said.
“We’re really happy to have her join us at the Bulldogs for 2027. She’s had a great year and deserves the opportunities that are coming her way.
I’m looking forward to getting her into our environment and seeing what 2027 brings for her. We’re grateful she’s chosen to be part of what we’re building here at the Bulldogs.
Taulelei-Siala will begin training with the Club when pre-season kicks off in 2027.
