In one of the most thrilling matches of the World Cup and unpredictable finishes in Rugby League history, Jacob Kiraz and Alex Conti helped Lebanon to their first win of the tournament in fitting fashion.

While his second goal narrowly missed its target in Golden Point, Conti would have been relieved after France fielded the kick, before Abbas Miski charged down an audacious kick to score the match winner.

Conti did his chances of making his first-grade debut in 2027 no harm, running for an almighty 121 metres while making a line break, a line break assist and two try assists and 20 tackles and 334 kicking metres.

Tonga vs Samoa: Freaky Crichton Shines in Attack and Defence

Tonga may have gotten the chocolates in their 20-18 victory over Toa Samoa, but Bulldogs Captain Stephen Crichton was instrumental in yet another thriller.

In a tense opening, it looked like Tonga had breached the line first through Jojo Fifita, but it was the defensive fortitude of Crichton that stopped the Tongan winger from crossing.

2026 RLWC: Crichton Saves a Certain Try

With the Samoans trailing before the break, the striding centre then provided his side's first try with a freaky flick pass from the ground which landed in the hands of winger Brian To'o to touch down.

He finished the match with 101 metres, a try assist, three tackle breaks and two offloads, as well as ten tackles.

Samoa will line up against Jacob Preston's Australia in the Semi Final at Allianz Stadium on Sunday night.
