The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs can confirm the departure of 12 NRLW players following the end of the 2026 season.
After Co-Captaining the Club for its first two seasons in the NRLW, Angelina Teakaraanga-Katoa (Bulldog no. 2) will join the St. George Illawarra Dragons next year along with Alexis Tauaneai (Bulldog no. 12). The two were mainstays in the Bulldogs’ pack, playing 21 and 19 games respectively with Tauaneai taking out the 2026 Player of the Year award.
Ash Quinlan (Bulldog no. 9) departs after also forming a key part of the inaugural squad, playing 19 games – all at five-eighth – over two seasons.
Elizabeth MacGregor (Bulldog no. 22) finishes up after making her NRLW debut in Round 4 of the 2025 season and going on to play a total of 17 games for the Bulldogs.
Latisha Smythe (Bulldog no. 11) departs after playing 16 games in the Blue and White. Smythe, a Greenacre Tigers junior, became the first female player to progress from the Canterbury-Bankstown District Junior Rugby League to the NRLW when she debuted in Round 1, 2025.
Forwards Ebony Prior (Bulldog no. 8), Ma’atuleio Fotu-Moala (Bulldog no. 24), Paea Uilou (Bulldog no. 20) and Waimarie Martin have also finished up at the Club, as have outside back Bridget Hoy (Bulldog no. 6) and half Shaquaylah Mahakitau-Monschau (Bulldog no. 15).
Meanwhile, the Club can also confirm that Evah McEwan was released mid-season on compassionate grounds.
The Bulldogs would like to thank them all for their contributions both on and off the field and wish them the best for the future.
Additionally, as previously announced Brayden Wiliame has finished his tenure as the Club’s inaugural NRLW Head Coach following two seasons at the helm.
Wiliame will remain at the Club in 2027, moving into a men’s pathways role, with Mark O’Meley confirmed as his replacement.
