The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are excited to announce that emerging hooker Kaawyn Patterson will join the full-time squad next season after signing a three-year deal.
Fresh off a Jersey Flegg Grand Final appearance, Patterson will move onto a Development deal for 2027 before being elevated to the Top 30 for 2028 and 2029.
The 19-year-old has been rewarded after an impressive rise this year. After captaining the SG Ball side to finals, Patterson was crowned the Club’s SG Ball Player of the Year.
He then graduated to Jersey Flegg and played a pivotal role in the team’s charge to the Grand Final, while also making three NSW Cup appearances at the back end of the season.
Bulldogs General Manager of Football Phil Gould AM was thrilled to confirm Patterson’s deal.
“Kaawyn has excelled in our pathways program and I have no doubt he will soon be playing at the NRL level. We are very excited about this young man,” he said.
Aside from his obvious football talent, Kaawyn has also displayed extraordinary leadership potential. We are lucky to have Kaawyn in our Club.
Patterson will begin training with the NRL squad in November when players return for pre-season.
