The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs Centre of Excellence is taking shape at Belmore Sports Ground, with the build reaching one of its most significant milestones to date.
Since breaking ground in November 2025, the three-level facility rising atop the iconic Terry Lamb Hill has moved from foundations to frame - and in recent weeks, the building has truly begun to come to life.
From Foundations to Frame
The heavy civil works are behind us. Piling and the bulk of the early structural works were completed in the opening months of 2026, laying the groundwork for the building that now stands on the Hill.
Attention has since turned to the main structure, and that phase is nearing completion. The final major concrete pour was completed in mid-July, with the project team now moving on to a series of smaller finishing pours. The building's timber structure is progressing well, and with roof installation due to begin shortly, the frame is on track to be finished in the coming weeks.

Once complete, the Centre of Excellence will stand as one of the finest facilities in the game and the new high-performance heart of the Club.
The three-level building will house an elite gymnasium and training areas, strength and conditioning spaces, and medical and aquatic rehabilitation facilities. It will also bring the Club's administration, meeting and education spaces, reception, merchandise and media facilities together under one roof.
Critically, the NRL and NRLW programs will share equal access to the facility - a deliberate commitment to giving the Club's women's team the elite environment it deserves as it establishes itself in the Premiership. The Centre will also serve as a training base for the Club's junior pathways, continuing a proud Bulldogs tradition of developing local talent.
Belmore has been the Club's spiritual home since 1935, and this project ensures it remains a gathering place for the Canterbury-Bankstown community for generations to come.
What Happens Next
With the structure nearing completion, the internal fit-out is the next major phase. Those works will get underway in the coming weeks and ramp up through the months ahead, covering the internal walls, doors, joinery and lighting that turn a frame into a functioning building.
From there, the project moves towards completion and handover, paving the way for the official opening of the Centre of Excellence in the first half of 2027 - a moment the whole Club is looking forward to sharing with its Members and supporters. As with any build of this scale, timings will continue to firm up as works progress, and the Club will keep Members updated along the way.
The Centre of Excellence is being delivered by head contractor Kane Constructions, working alongside the wider project team, and is jointly funded by the Club and the NSW Government through its Centre of Excellence Fund.
A number of the Club's own partners are also contributing specialist packages to the build, and the Bulldogs look forward to recognising each of them as their works come online in the months ahead - including Major Partner Wattyl and long-time collaborator Jay Productions, whose media studio will help power the Club's content and storytelling for years to come.
