The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are pleased to announce the official launch of the Club’s 2026 Indigenous Jersey - “Strength & Resilience” - by renowned Dunghutti artist, Kyara Fernando.
Both the first-grade squads will don the jersey during Indigenous Round when the NRL side host the Rabbitohs (Round 24), and the NRLW team take on the Cowboys (Round 6) and Eels (Round 7).

Local artist Kyara Fernando – who was also tasked with last year's design – has brought the 2026 Indigenous Jersey to life with a stunning Blue base and the implementation of thematic icons and motifs throughout.
Meeting Places: Indicating gatherings, various areas and locations visualised as central points for coming together to Bulldogs games.
Warrior: Representing hunters, protectors and defenders of country and family, keepers of lore, and providers of strength.
Women & Children: The caretakers of the country and family, who represent nurturing, guiding, leadership and spiritual connection.
Aboriginal Weapons & Tools: Including shields, fighting clubs and boomerangs, further highlighting strength and resilience.
Communities, Footprints and Handprints: Acknowledging the past and present pathways, the Canterbury-Bankstown community and the identity of its people as well as Bulldogs players.

Other prominent themes displayed across the jersey are the addition of the four elements:
Air: Depicted with a swirling wind pattern.
Fire: Seen through flames arising.
Earth: Shown with a nestling of leaves.
Water: Represented with lines that convey rivers and streams.
“This year’s design features the strong dominancy of the Bulldogs’ Blue, creating a design that was representational of strength and resilience,” Kyara explained.
“I tried to replicate a similar but extended design to last year, representing the Bulldogs gatherings at different locations and coming together for games in 2026. I also wanted to implement other symbols that were connected with strength and resilience, including the elements.
“The side panels feature Aboriginal weapons such as shields and boomerangs, displaying the strength and resilience of the Aboriginal people. Some of the other symbols also include communities, footprints and hands.
“The main stripes at the top and bottom visualise elements of natural resources - air, fire, earth and water. The top represents the water, the next is earth - the environment - then fire and wind.
I’m happy, excited and very proud. The significance of the jersey represents our history, our culture and people. I loved designing last year's jersey, and to have the opportunity to design this year's jersey is a real privilege.
