Paws Out at Accor: Bulldogs Thrash Tigers

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs have made it four wins from their last five matches at Accor Stadium, blowing the Wests Tigers away with a dominant 32-nil win during the NRL's Women In League Round.

Viliame Kikau made a successful return to the field after three months on the sidelines, while Gordon Chan Kum Tong became Bulldog no.882 after coming from the interchange bench, setting up a try in the process.

Meanwhile, both Matt Burton and Enari Tuala bagged their 50th tries in the NRL respectively, with the former nabbing 16 points with five goals, a penalty goal to go along with his four-pointer. .

New face Sean O'Sullivan kicked off proceedings with a beautifully placed 40/20 kick, before swinging it wide for Jethro Rinakama to score his sixth try in his last six appearances.

Rinakama Opens the Scoring

The Bulldogs went wide again to find Enari Tuala tearing downfield, before Rinakama found himself inches from the try-line - with the ensuring Captain's Challenge successful after the Bunker overturning a knock-on.

That decision proved to be well worth the risk as Josh Curran charged onto a Lachlan Galvin grubber to extend the score. Burton's second goal saw the Bulldogs lead 12-nil after just nine minutes.

After being denied a number of times for their third - including an overturned try - Tuala touched down in the corner thanks to a well-timed Jacob Preston offload.

Burton made it three from three from the sideline to bring the lead to 18 points with the Bulldogs keeping their opponents scoreless at the break.

Galvin Kicks and Curran Crosses

Both sides traded errors in a scrappy opening to the second stanza, with the Tigers losing their Captain's Challenge in the process as the Bulldogs defended their line with plenty of gusty.

The tide soon turned after O'Sullivan nailed his second 40/20 with another pinpoint kick, although impatience got the better of them after Rinakama was taken into touch.

Tuala Adds to the Tally

A textbook tackle from Connor Tracey and Galvin denied Heamasi Makasini just inches from the line, before Jacob Kiraz tapped the ball dead to prevent the youngster from scoring just moments after.

The embers began to flame after a dangerous tackle on Leo Thompson saw Latu Fainu sent to the sin bin, and the Bulldogs extended their lead to 20 after Burton's ensuing penalty goal.

The headgeared maverick then touched down for his own four-pointer, bursting down the left-hand sideline before converting for a 26-nil lead.

Burton Bursts Through

Soon enough, flames arose with Alex Twal striking Jaeman Salmon, which saw the forward sin binned and the Tigers down to eleven players.

A Curran charge down on halfway saw Chan Kum Tong streak downfield, before offloading back to the second rower for his brace, with Burton bringing the scoreline to 32-nil and icing off a famous Bulldogs win.
