Money Smarts at Belmore: Holy Spirit Students Learn to Think Like Strategists

Financial literacy is about strategy and choices. At Belmore Sports Ground, Holy Spirit Catholic College students explore budgeting, banking, scams, investing, superannuation, and long-term planning in the Bulldogs Game-Changers course.

NRL Game Development Officers run a 'Gameplan Workshop', showing how athletes plan weekly strategies, then applying the same approach to personal finances.

The Group Exercise Coordinator reinforces consistency through a conditioning session, linking physical effort to long-term financial growth.

“When young people learn how money works, they gain a sense of control over their future," said Diane Langmack OAM.

Financial literacy gives them independence, confidence, and the ability to make empowered decisions.

With the support of course sponsor Abal Banking, Students leave confident, informed, and ready to master money management.
