Pathways Wrap Round 13: Bulldogs Put 50 Past Penrith

The Ron Massey Cup side piled on 50 points in a dominant victory in the highlight of Round 13.

Meanwhile, both the NSW Cup and Jersey Flegg Cup sides were unable to claim victory against the Western Suburbs Magpies and Wests Tigers respectively.

NSW Cup: Bulldogs 38 def by Magpies 26

It was a tough defeat for the Bulldogs in the NSW Cup, downed 38-26 against the Western Suburbs Magpies at Lidcombe Oval.

After trailing by eight points after as many minute, the Bulldogs hit back through Jonathan Su'a. The Magpies returned serve, before a quick-fire double to Kade Dykes put the Blue and Whites ahead 16-12 at the break.

Both sides went tit-for-tat in the second half with Maila Setu getting on the scoreboard and Su'a claiming his second to give the Bulldogs a 22-20 lead.

Unfortunately, ill discipline in the final ten minutes allowed the Magpies to get ahead with a further two tries to seal the win.

Jersey Flegg Cup: Bulldogs 20 def by Tigers 26

A late charge by the Jersey Flegg Cup side was not enough to claim victory in Round 13 against the Wests Tigers in a 26-20 defeat at Lidcombe Oval.

Trailing 14-10 at the break after tries to Michael Nassar and Joseph Teaupa, the Tigers took a ten-point lead with the clock winding down for Canterbury.

A late four-pointer to Raymond Puru closed the gap to a converted try, but an error with a minute remaining squandered the opportunity to level in a heartbreaking end for the Bulldogs.

Ron Massey Cup: Bulldogs 50 def Brothers 12

The Ron Massey Cup side sit in third place following a 50-12 demolition of Brothers Penrith in another convincing performance at Parker Street Reserve, Penrith.
