Pathways Wrap Round 12: Hat-Trick of Wins for Bulldogs

The Bulldogs NSW Cup and Jersey Flegg Cup sides followed suit with two massive wins over the Melbourne Storm on the weekend in Round 12. 

The Ron Massey Cup side also claimed a strong win against powerhouse St Maris in arguably their best win of the season. 

NSW Cup: Bulldogs 38 def Storm 14

The NSW Cup Bulldogs delivered a dominant performance defeating the Melbourne Storm 38-14 in Round 12 at Belmore Sports Ground.

Setting the tone early after Sosaia Alatini crossed, the Blue and Whites continued to capitalise after a Jonathan Su'a 80-metre intercept extended the lead. Next it was Alekolasimi Jones barging over before Sean O'Sullivan's 40/20 set up the back rower for his second. 

Kade Dykes crossed just after the break before Su'a scored his second to bring the lead past 30 points, while Maila Setu sealed the result with a late four pointer in a memorable outing at Belmore. 

NSW Cup Round 13 Highlights: Bulldogs vs Storm

Jersey Flegg Cup: Bulldogs 56 def Storm nil

It was a comprehensive ten-tries-to-nil victory for the Jersey Flegg Cup side, who now sit in fifth position after putting the Storm to the sword in a 56-nil performance. 

Bronson Reuben scored eighteen points with a try and seven goals while Chelsea Hayward bagged a hat-trick as the Bulldogs ran riot on the Club's spiritual home ground.

Racking up a solid 24-nil half-time lead, the Blue and Whites scored six tries in the second stanza with Latrell Fing scoring a brace and Marcellus Iakopo, Jayden Smith, Lachlan Mifsud and Raymond Puru adding their names to the scoresheet.  

Ron Massey Cup: Bulldogs 30 def St Marys 22

After trailing 10-nil in the early stages, the Bulldogs' Ron Massey Cup side pulled off arguably their best win all season with a 30-22 win over St Marys at Hammondville Oval 

Alarm bells were ringing after the Saints crossed for two early tries in the opening eleven minutes, but the Blue and Whites clawed their way back with Damon Humphrys scoring a brace to take a 12-10 lead at the break.

Justin Matamua scored the first try of the second stanza to extend the side's lead, before a sin-bin opened the chance for Elsiyah Laumatia to cross.

St Marys scored in quick succession to close the gap to just two points with seven minutes on the clock, but a late match-winner to Leif Dietrich sealed the famous victory.
