NRL Round 10 Match Preview: Brisbane Bound Bulldogs

The Bulldogs are bound for Brisbane to face the Dolphins in a bid to return to the winners' circle in what is promising to be a thriller on Thursday night.

Cameron Ciraldo's men will be hurting from last week's defeat, and will be intent on getting the two competition points following a disappointing performance.

The Dolphins are building nicely into form and claimed a strong win last weekend against the Melbourne Storm, and will be aiming to continue their run.

Teamlists and Team News

Cameron Ciraldo has stuck solid as the Bulldogs navigate a challenging period, with just one change to the starting side that fell to North Queensland last week. Sitili Tupouniua has been named in the back row, with Josh Curran on the bench, but the pair could trade places on game day as they did last week. Interchange forwards Kurt Mann (head knock) and Jake Turpin (biceps) have been ruled out, with Harry Hayes and Sean O'Sullivan the new faces on the bench.

No changes to the starting 13 but two big inclusions on the bench for Kristian Woolf with Kodi Nikorima and Jeremy Marshall-King named in jumpers No.18 and No.19 respectively. Nikorima missed last week's win over Melbourne due to suspension, with Woolf opting to stick solid with the halves pairing of Brad Schneider and Isaiya Katoa. Marshall-King is eyeing his first game of the season after injuring his knee in a freak accident at home in January. Kurt Donoghoe drops out of the squad after playing 26 minutes off the bench last week.

History vs Dolphins and Last Time Out: Round 12, 2025

The Bulldogs hold a slight ledger against the NRL's newest team, having won the first two of three contests.

Remarkably, Thursday night will be just the fourth meeting between the two sides, and the first at Suncorp Stadium.

The first two matches between the sides were memorable wins for the Blue and Whites at Salter Oval in Bundaberg, with a field goal sinking the Dolphins before a solid performance in 2024 that saw the Bulldogs come out 30-10 winners.

Match Highlights: Round 22 v Dolphins

Last time out the Dolphins won big at Accor Stadium on a rainy and forgettable night, so the Bulldogs will be out to get back into the winners' circle on Thursday.

Key Match Up: The Halfbacks

Steering the Bulldogs around in the no.7 jersey, Lachlan Galvin that will be key to victory on Thursday night against his opposite in Isaiya Katoa .

The Bulldogs playmaker has been arguably the side's best player to start 2026, having scored four tries in his eight appearances along with an impressive 11 line drop outs and 8 line break assists.

Galvin Fools Cowboys With Show-And-Go!

The Dolphins captain has orchestrated his side with eight try assists and as many line break assists, while he has yet to breach the line himself or pin the opposition behind the goal line.

Two very different halfbacks with very different playing styles will be on show, so keep an eye on Galvin and Katoa to guide their respective teams to victory.
