Pathways Wrap Round 4: Dual Wins In Knights Duels

The Bulldogs' NSW Cup and Jersey Flegg Cup sides have continued their form with wins over the Newcastle Knights in Round 4.

Meanwhile, the Ron Massey Cup team were unable to claim victory in their Round 2 clash against Blacktown Workers.

NSW Cup: Bulldogs 32 def Knights 28

It was a high-scoring match at Belmore Sports Ground between the Bulldogs and Knights in the NSW Cup, with the home side scraping through with a 32-28 win.

The Blue and Whites led comfortably 22-12 at the break with Taye Cochrane, Logan Spinks, Louis Grossemy and Gordon Chan Kum Tong crossing.

Newcastle hit back to close the gap, but further tries to Joseph Teaupa and Zyon Maiu'u ultimately proved to be the difference, despite a nervous wait in the final two minutes after the Knights scored late.

The Bulldogs face the South Sydney Rabbitohs at Accor Stadium at 1:45pm as the curtain-raiser match for the traditional NRL Good Friday clash.

Jersey Flegg Cup: Bulldogs 32 def Knights 22

The Bulldogs' Jersey Flegg Cup side has claimed their second win of the season with a 32-22 win over the Newcastle Knights at Belmore Sports Ground.

Contrary to their NSW Cup counterparts, the Bulldogs came back from a 16-14 half-time deficit to storm home; after Sheldon Hayward, Raymond Puru and Latrell Fing touched down in the second half, the latter two completed a brace to take the lead.

While Newcastle crossed late, a Sosefo Finau try in the 53rd minute was all the Bulldogs needed to claim a solid victory at home.

In Round 5, the Bulldogs will take on the South Sydney Rabbitohs at Redfern Oval on Friday.

Ron Massey Cup: Bulldogs 10 def by Workers 30

It was a tough loss for the Bulldogs' Ron Massey Cup side on Saturday, defeated 30-10 by Blacktown Workers at Hammondville Oval in their Round 2 clash.

A try to Sosaia Kaufusi got the Bulldogs on the board, with the side trailing 12-4 at the break in a hard-fought first half.

Blacktown extended before five-eighth Clancy Hohn touched down to bring the side back within striking distance, however it was the visitors who hit back in quick succession to claim victory.

The Bulldogs Ron Massey Cup side will now take a week off before facing Manly Leagues in Round 3.
